Bacteriological sampling is typically required after chlorination of a new water line, following tank disinfection or repair work, before a water meter release, and as a condition of final inspection sign-off by a purveyor or building department.
Results must come from a state-certified laboratory to be accepted by most agencies, and samples must be collected using proper technique to avoid false positives that can delay a project.

Samples are collected using standard aseptic technique at each required point to protect the integrity of the result.
Every sample is labeled, sealed on site, and tracked with documented chain of custody from collection through delivery.
Our state-certified lab partner processes samples on standard turnaround, with same-day handling when the lab’s schedule allows.
Results are compiled into a report formatted for direct submission to your water purveyor or building department.
If a result comes back positive, we return promptly to disinfect and resample, keeping the purveyor informed of the revised schedule.
All analysis runs through a laboratory certified by the state, so results are accepted by purveyors without question.
Every job is performed under C-36 Contractor License #1117687 and DPR License #140023, backed by the credentials California requires.
Bacteriological and water-quality samples are processed through our state-certified laboratory partner, giving purveyors results they accept without question.
Every report is formatted for direct submission to your water purveyor or inspecting agency, with same-day turnaround whenever lab results allow.
Plumbing, chlorination, and backflow work are handled by the same crew in one visit, so you are not coordinating three separate contractors.
We’ll ask a couple of questions about the backflow preventer in question and set up a time that’s convenient for you.
We arrive at the scheduled time, perform the test, and give you a copy of the results on the spot.
Based on what we find, the device gets a passing grade or we arrange repairs — often completed the same visit.
We send the results to the city, and we’ll see you again next year.
Annually, per California law and nearly every water purveyor. Some purveyors and hazard classes require more frequent testing, which we can confirm for your address.
Pricing depends on device size and count. Call (858) 523-8113 for a quote — multi-device and contracted-customer pricing available.
We document the failure mode, and in most cases repair and retest the device in the same visit. If it cannot be repaired economically, we quote a replacement instead.
Yes. Passing results go directly to the purveyor of record, and you receive a copy for your files.
